Mounting your microwave under a cabinet or on a shelf can save a lot of counter space if you follow the instructions correctly. To install an under cabinet microwave, first find your wall studs by tapping with a hammer on the wall until you hear a solid "thud" rather than a hollow sound. Next, position the mounting plate so it's level with the bottom of the cabinet and drill holes over the studs and a hole for the power cord. When you're ready to fix the plate to the wall, get someone to hold the plate while you attach it with lag screws. Once the plate is in place, thread the power cord through the hole and hang the microwave on the support tabs.
You've probably forgotten how useful this appliance can be? How else could you reheat your leftovers? But that's not their only use. You can use them for cooking, defrosting bread and other frozen foods and much more.
